Claire Price is a third-year fashion design student at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She has seven years of industry experience helping brands bring their visions to life. She specializes in tech pack production, Photoshop, and technical drawings. Push/Pull FW 26
Push/Pull investigates the tension between modern athletes and the restrictive femininity of Victorian dress. This all-black collection moves between contemporary sport and historical drama. The Victorian elements symbolize confinement, discipline, and traditional gender expectations, while the athletic components speak to aspiration, self-invention and reinvention, and the relentless pursuit of an idealized self. Drawing from personal and widely shared coming-of-age pressures, the collection evokes a sense of nostalgia and haunted innocence, capturing the psychological push and pull between who society asks us to be and who we all yearn to become.
